Made with grapes from Quinta da Carolina, demarcated Douro region, Cima Corgo sub-region, located on the left bank of the Douro River, 4 Kms south of Pinhão, with exposure to the north. Vineyard over 25 years old.
VARIETIES
Tinta Roriz, 30%; Tinta Barroca, 25%; Touriga Franca, 20%; Tinta Carvalha, 15%; outras, 10%.
VINIFICATION
Manual harvest, bunch by bunch, individually selected. Fermentation in a stone mill and treading of the masses lasting between 6 and 8 days. Malolactic fermentation and 16-month aging in French and American oak barrels.
